The March Bulletin

We’re a little later in the month with our newsletter as March has been so busy with all of our beautiful new collections arriving. There’s been Mothers Day too & there was much excitement planning our return trip to our favourite city to visit Maison & Objet. The last time we were there was January 2020 before all the craziness hit, so it was so good to be back & feel inspired & reenergised.

We decided to say in Pigalle for proximity to Gare Du Nord so we could get to Maison & Objet easily every day & whilst we had two full days scouring the show for exciting & innovative product , we also spent our evenings off seeing some of the sights & had dinner at Cecconi’s in Soho House & I always gravitate back to Ruc near the Louvre where the people watching is as great as the food and ambience.

On our last day we set off bright & early to the Palasis Galliera to see the Alber Elbaz exhibition which was quite literally breathtaking & a real insight into his creative fashion genius.

No trip to Paris for buyers is ever complete without a trip to some of the incredible stores in the city because frankly some of the worlds best retail happens in Paris, Le Bon Marché is always a joy to visit but for so long I’ve been longing to see Samaritaine on Pont Neuf.

This incredible Art Nouveau department store was founded in 1870 by Ernest Cognacq & his wife Marie-Louise Jaÿ, a former sales woman at Le Bon Marché. His mission statement was ‘On trouve tout a la Samaritaine’ (One can find everything at Samaritaine). It closed in 2005 but luckily LVMH has restored this eponymous store to its full glory with the most captivating edit of world class fashion beauty & accessories.

We have come away from our trip full of Parisian joie de vivre, bursting with ideas & a renewed vision for our business where a whole new chapter beckons.
